Time Flies!

Greetings second grade family! This quarter is starting to wind down.  We will have conferences on Monday, November 5th from 12:30-8:00 pm.  A form will go home soon with your child about a reservation time for Monday.  Thank you for all your support!

Welcome to a new year!!!

Welcome to second.  We are so excited to see our new smiling faces.  We will be very busy working in our classrooms each day.  We will be working on word problems in math, productive communities in social studies, and comprehension skills and strategies in reading.  If you would like a link to our reading series, there are games on the site for building background and enrichment. The last days of Summer Vacation!

We hope that you are enjoying your summer vacation.  There are 20 days left!  Boy, where did the summer go!  Enjoy your last few days and we will see you on August 27th.

I hope that you are having a great summer! We are enjoying our summer as well. We are re-charging our batteries to refuel for workshops and back to school excitement in the next few weeks. Continue enjoying your summer and be safe!

The Joys of Field Day!!!

We are totally tired!!!! Field day was such a great day!! The weather was beautiful.  We played lots of games and of course we got our face painted!  Our second grade celebration was awesome.  Pizza, juice, and ymmy cake!  Today is awards day.  So off we go!!

Hello There!!!  We are the second grade team at Diggs-Latham Elementary school.  There are four second grade classes here at Diggs-Latham.  We most certainly enjoy our jobs and care for our students.  We will keep you all posted with summer events and any upcoming activities/events at our school.  We look forward to blogging with you!!!
